Maybe this can help some people, but to me it's nothing more than a cheap piece of plastic that is way over priced. I tried it several times but for the life of me, I couldn't understand why some of the golf pros would recommend this thing. Money, I suspect. Save your money and buy something that really works...

I used this all winter just to stay loose. My drives last year were about 230-240. I went out yesterday and I was easily 260, sometimes into a stiff wind. I was 1 club longer, plus I was much straigher, actually had a draw. Usually I'm left then right then center, but all were straight - perhaps it was a dream.

The secret to this thing is to use it properly. It teaches wrist lag and releasing thru the impact zone, improves balance and strength. For wrist lag alone it is worth it. You can make 1/2 swings holding your hands back as long as you can. Just keep your wrist flat, don't cup it. Swing plane is maintained by starting down with the edge of your left hand, that keeps you from coming over the top. If you use it on a light carpet you can see where the black rubber end is tracking in the impact zone - if it is making an arc around your body, that's a hook. Try for inside to outside, extending your arms thru impact and finishing high. It is shorter than a wedge and never touches the floor which takes some getting used to. The grip is big, way bigger than a club; not certain why. But you can swing it in any room and setup for driver / short iron by altering your stance.

My only complaint is it won't help you putt better.

I picked the Izzo Smooth Swing on the advice of a friend. I felt a little silly putting it on the first time and make short swings. I have a routine of taking about 100 swings in the backyard every day (weather permitting). After getting used to the arm positions it was interesting and I could feel improvement.

Now I wear this on the practice range for a few swings, just to get the body motion. My game has improved.

Golf Swing Trainer – Tips For Buying

Even an amateur player knows the incontrovertible truth about the game of golf; that the golf swing is one of the most important techniques in the game and to help players in their golf swing, there are golf swing trainers to aid them in improving their swing. We will look at some of the tips for buying a golf swing trainer.

Amongst the first tips for buying a golf swing trainer is that the setup of the trainer should be such that it can be easily handled. A too complicated design of the setup will only compound the hassles of putting the trainer in place and its best to go in for a simple design which can be setup within a few minutes by the user. It is also important to consider trainers which can be put up easily and safely both indoors and outdoors.

The number of rings these swing trainers have is important. Some designs offer only one ring while others have two. A single ring in a swing trainer will allow for only one swing plane whereas a double ring design will offer two swing planes which can be adjusted. The dual ring design is helpful in improving the tempo mad timing of the user’s golf swing.

An oft overlooked but vital consideration while going in for a swing trainer is its compatibility; a left-handed golfer will require a trainer specifically designed for left-handed players. A few designs offer compatibility to both right-handers as well as left-handers which can come in handy if one wishes to share it with friends. Height compatibility is also not to be forgotten especially if the user is extremely short or tall.

The trainers which come with exercise cords can also be useful as these cords can be used to strengthen arm muscles which in turn enable the player to ht the ball faster and harder and thus will improve the swing.

A golf swing trainer will aid the player in improving the swing and if the golf swing is perfect, the game is as good as won.

Various Types Of Golf Swing Trainers

A golf swing trainer uses the best training aids so as to teach a lay person all the intricacies of the game. It also gives the learner an idea of the expertise of the trainer. The golf swing trainer is adept in handling hi- tech gadgets that gives instant audio feedback, imparts the notion of instilling rhythm and maximizes speed in the golf swing. Both these aspects are vital when in pursuit of an improved swing.

The Sonic Golf System consists off multiple processes. The trainees should be prepared to separate themselves from the grips on the clubs which is of use in System-1. The Sonic Golf utilizes a proprietary system of golf pride grips with a removable end cap.

Step 1 involves removing grips on the driver, 6-iron and sand wedge and replaces them with System1 grip. This is followed by fitting the SX-1 transmitter insert to each shaft snugly. The RX-1 receiver is turned on and set on the same channel as SX-1 and a pair of rosebuds is inserted into the receiver.

My take on Sonic Golf System 1 is that it is a worthwhile training aid. I think every golf swing trainer should have one to train students. The trainer offers immediate feedback and uses a sensory cue that is overlooked in golf training as much of the emphasis is on visual cues. But the major drawback in this system is the need for different types of club grips and the effort and time taken to switch between clubs for practice.

Golfers wanting to improve their tempo and hit the ball more consistently rely on Power Blade. The whole genre within the training aids category used by trainers seeks to help the golfer add power by adding resistance to the swing.

GP Golf Innovation has launched the Power Blade and it facilitates the swing tempo and takes the fair approach towards producing resistance. The Power Blade securely clips to the shaft of the golf club with built in protection measures that ensures no damage to the shaft.
